October 31 to November 4, 2022 Release Notes

Features & Improvements

We released a beta of LTI 1.3 for courses. LTI 1.3 does a lot of new things that aren't supported in the previous LTI 1.1 integration (which we still support!). If you'd like to sign up to try out this beta release, holler at Populi Support.

The back-end code supporting online payments got the second phase of a massive upgrade that supports more modern security practices and more detailed, informative gateway logging.

In Search, press your command key plus clicking a search result (or on Windows, press control and click) will open that result in a new browser tab.

The Advised Students report has the new checkbox functionality we've been rolling out across Populi reports.

ID Card Templates have new variables for address fields.

Hidden Faculty in courses now have company: TA's can be set to Hidden now, as well.

Financial Aid users can now use a toggle to see Deleted Awards on Profile > Financial > Financial Aid.

Added a setting to automatically email payers a receipt when they make online payments.

You can now designate more than one person as a Billing Contact for your Populi account.

The online payment page now shows convenience fee info on the first step of making a payment.

If you link a donation to an existing person, you now have the option of whether or not to import contact info from the donation to the person's profile.

Canadian users: now when you click the Amazon link on a course book list it'll whisk you over to dubya dubya dubya Amazon dot C-A instead of the American dot com version.

Course > Roster exports now spit out a Populi Name column in the XLS/CSV export.

The Export Helper now includes a Student Balance field option.

Bugfixes

Errors were thrown if you tried adding a degree course substitution if the degree had no course requirements but the specialization did. So we got smarter about not leading you on about adding degree course substitutions in such cases.

The Actions on Billing > Current > Student Balances might not have applied to your entired filtered report depending on which filters you had used.
