Features & Improvements
We recently made it possible to clone content into synced courses, and we made another round of behind-the-scenes improvements to the code there. The Clone dialog now also gives you options for designating different authors for each section's Faculty-added Discussions.
Added h5p.com
to our august whitelist of sites from which we'll permit embeds within Populi.
Data Slicer has a hot new Degree Level filter condition that all the reports are gonna be clamoring for.
Tuition charge descriptions now include course abbreviations.
Re-introduced the ability to use applications to collect contact info fields that aren't linked to the applicant.
The U.S. Department of Education's COD system has new XML definitions that now require the Award year end dates. We've updated our handling of Award and Academic Years to accommodate the new changes. Among other back-end things, if your school has DOED integration enabled, aid classifications will now show a flag that can be checked if you want your Direct Loan award dates to expand to fit the disbursements that belong to the award.
Bugfixes
Account > Reporting > Changes had some mis-alphabetized Text Messaging Number fields in the drop-down, an error that caused several of our schools to just go out of business and give up on education altogether (they're all now back in business thanks to the efficiency of the Changes report having properly-alphabetized drop-downs).
If you imported application form sections (from another application) into your new application form, and then cloned that new application form to create an even more newer application form, that newest application would not include any of the imported form sections.
In Account > Invoices/Payments, we fixed the Update your bank account dialog that we had recently broken in another release.
The Number of Resources filter in Library > Browse Resources would not get you what you were looking for if you asked it to search for "0".
Again with the Library: some of our resource fields weren't automatically being populated with the Z39.50 data when you added new resources.
Videos & Focus Sessions
Next week's Focus Session covers Financial Aid, featuring topics like aid settings, awards, packaging aid, disbursements, aid applications and so on. This will be most useful to Financial Aid and Financial Admin users. It's scheduled for December 6th, 2022, 11:00 AM Pacific time.
