Features & Improvements

Awhile back we'd undertaken an effort to update the code underlying Populi's online payments features. That effort seems to have been completed with this week's rewrite of the online donation page to better handle credit cards and ACH charges that require two-factor authentication.

We considered turning test assignment calendar items on Course > Dashboard > Schedule into hyperlinks that would take you straight to said test. But then we went a step further: we actually changed (from a former state of dead, inert, unactionable text) test assignment calendar items on Course > Dashboard > Schedule into hyperlinks that take you straight to said test.

Bugfixes

Populi is perfect and complete in every way, as evidenced by this week's utter lack of bugfixes. I'm sure it will remain in that state for perpetuity, so I may as well just retire the "Bugfixes" section of Release Notes. I'm sure that won't prove a shortsighted decision at all! Looks like it's time to relax in this reclining lawn chair with a good Summer read and my favorite beverage.

Next week's Focus Sessions are...

• Introduction to Academics: Learn the ropes concerning setting up academic years, terms, programs, degrees, the course catalog, course instances, enrollment, and so on. This will be most useful to Registrar and Academic Admin users. It's scheduled for December 13th, 2022, 11:00 AM Pacific time.
• Introduction to Admissions: Find out what's the big deal about application settings, designing your application, processing applications, managing leads and so on. This will be most useful to Admissions and Admissions Admin users. It's scheduled for December 15th, 2022, 11:00 AM Pacific time.

These'll be the last Focus Sessions we're running before Christmas; they get rolling again on January 3, 2023 with Introduction to Running Courses.
