April 10 to April 14, 2017 Release Notes

Features & Improvements

Enrollment Agreements! After a phase of beta testing, we're pleased to make enrollment agreements available to all our customers. Here's the quick overview:

  1. You enable the form (in Financial > Settings) and choose how often you want students to fill in an enrollment agreement (once a term, every time enrollment changes, required vs. optional, etc.).
  2. We work with you to get an Enrollment Agreement page layout put together.
  3. Depending on your settings, Populi generates the forms for students to sign during the registration process, or for you to pass along to individual students via Profile > Financial.

If you'd like to get started or even just want to hear a bit more about them, contact Populi customer support.

The student course summary page now includes a stats view for the student's participation in course discussions.

When resending the login approval passcode, we now attempt to send a push notification to your trusted devices running the iOS app.

We started pulling data out of Stripe that separates the processing fee amount from the transaction amount. Once you set up an expense account for processing fees (in Financial > Settings > Payment Gateways), Populi will split those out for you in various reports in Financial. Among other things, this makes reconcilation between Populi and other system a lot simpler and more straightforward.

Added the text of the admissions reference request email to Localizations—more stuff you get to translate!

Updated the COD XML schema to make sure Populi works with some updates on their end.

Added a program filter to the Student Balances report.

Added a status filter to the Alumni list to help you filter out the deceased.

Bugfixes

Fixed a bug that sometimes charged students when you moved them from incomplete back to enrolled.

Sent a cease-and-desist order to ourselves regarding how we were sending scheduled communication plan emails to addresses rendered inactive because of email bounces.

There's a convenient setting in Library called Max. Balance—if a patrons has more than this amount in fines, he can't check out any resources. Thing about it was that there was no check in place, so even if you entered something in that field, Populi did nothing to enforce it. But now... now we enforce it.

Twiddled some knobs so that the Restore button on the Account > Changes report actually does something when you click it.
