Populi Price Increase

After 13 years of $199/month + $7/student, Populi is going to increase our pricing. Here’s the breakdown, followed by a little explanation.

New Schools

$199/month + $9/student, effective March 1, 2023.

Existing Schools

For our current customers, we're phasing in the price increase over 18 months:

• $199/month + $8/student effective September 1, 2023
• $199/month + $9/student effective September 1, 2024

Being a software-as-a-service company, the largest chunk of our expenses is employee costs. In order to continue to recruit and retain the people we need to provide and improve upon the service our customers have come to expect from Populi we need to have enough gas in the tank, so to speak.

We haven’t come to this decision lightly. We’ve been debating making an adjustment since 2016. Having affordable pricing has been important to us, and that isn’t changing. It simply wasn’t going to be possible for us to never increase prices, and after much deliberation, now is the time.

Don’t worry, Populi is in fine health financially. We just want to make sure it stays that way so we can continue adding features, making improvements, and providing top-notch customer service.
