Features & Improvements

The To Be Graded view for test questions now randomizes the order of the responses—previously, they were listed in alphabetical order by student last name.

Tied up a few things with timezones so that Communication Plans always start in the school's timezone instead of the recipient's.

Added a new Academics setting that lets you choose to display All by default (instead of Completed) in Degree Audit course groups.

Course Updated automations can now listen for when a course is cross-listed with another.

Bugfixes

Transcript formatting and margins were broken for a few hours until we released a fixit for it.

Videos and Focus Sessions

No Focus Sessions next week—gotta start brining the turkeys on Tuesday and set 'em in the ovens and smokers and deep-fryers on Thursday. But the following week, take a break from shopping for so-called Cyber Deals to learn some stuff about Populi:

  • Introduction to Running Courses: This one'll get into course settings, lessons, assignments, discussions, tests, grading, and so on. This will be most useful to Academic Admin, Faculty, and Teaching Assistant users. It's scheduled for November 28th, 2023, 11:00 AM Pacific time.
  • Introduction to Billing: It'll cover pending charges, invoices, transactions, payments/credits, tuition schedules, fees and so on. This will be most useful to Financial Admin and Student Billing users. It's scheduled for November 30th, 2023, 11:00 AM Pacific time.

Josh doesn't want students to stumble blindly as they make progress towards earning their degrees. So he got in front of the camera to tell them about the Degree Audit.

Josh also wants to make sure students know how to contact their faculty without stumbling blindly about.
