Features & Improvements
Added ways to filter for Primary Advisor in the Data Slicer and the Advised Students report.
When cloning courses, you now have the option of cloning Teaching Assistants. Mind you, I'm not referring to the sci-fi genetic double kind of cloning (we're still debating the ethics of that): this refers to the more mundane cloning of a past course instance's info into another course.
The Export Helper lets you save field sets so you can easily export supplemental information for your reports. But not a lot of people use this feature! So we messed with the layout a bit to make it a bit more prominent. Go ahead, save yourself a field set!
Added a Restore action to deleted form responses; if you have the response's URL, you can go to the deleted form and bring it back from the black oblivion it had been previously consigned to.
There's a brand spankin' new degree specialization type called Option.
To localizations we added a built-in Italian translation. If you enable it, several interface words will be replaced by hand gestures and the word "Academics" will be changed to "Gabagool".
Bugfixes
Fine-tuned a few things with the Degree Audit's specialization selector so it doesn't go blank on you when you're toggling between different degrees.
Aid classifications with Off-campus (with parents) selected for the Housing field would show the wrong COA.
The facilities schedule calendar was showing events for deleted courses. Dumb.
Custom degree audit layouts weren't working for a brief spell earlier this week, but things have since improved on that front.
Videos and Focus Sessions
Next week there'll be some sessions that'll focus upon...
- Introduction to the Degree Audit: Get a close look at programs, degree requirements, course groups, course mapping, exceptions, transcripts and so on. This will be most useful to Academic Admin and Registrar users. This one's scheduled for December 5th, 2023, 11:00 AM Pacific time.
- Introduction to Financial Aid: Learn about financial aid settings, awards, packaging aid, disbursements, aid applications and so on. This will be most useful to Financial Aid and Financial Admin users. It's scheduled for December 7th, 2023, 11:00 AM Pacific time.
