If you do not have a school email address, when you click an email link on a person's profile, your computer's default email program (Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail, etc.) will open up. If you use web-based email (like Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.), you can set up your browser to open an email link in that webmail service instead.
