My Bookstore totals aren't matching up with my Chart of Accounts. What's happening?

Three things can create discrepancies between Bookstore's order totals and the associated income account in your chart of accounts. Keep in mind that once a Bookstore order has been placed, the order total is set in stone, as it were, and cannot be changed without voiding the order (just like with a transaction).

  • If pending Bookstore charges are never invoiced, then those charges never actually hit your Chart of Accounts.
  • If you edit or delete a pending Bookstore charge from a student's Financial account, the Bookstore's order totals will differ from the income actually received in the income account.
