Three things can create discrepancies between Bookstore's order totals and the associated income account in your chart of accounts. Keep in mind that once a Bookstore order has been placed, the order total is set in stone, as it were, and cannot be changed without voiding the order (just like with a transaction).
- If pending Bookstore charges are never invoiced, then those charges never actually hit your Chart of Accounts.
- If you edit or delete a pending Bookstore charge from a student's Financial account, the Bookstore's order totals will differ from the income actually received in the income account.
