March 18 to April 5, 2024 Release Notes

Features & Improvements

The course catalog has a new Import CSV function that lets you bulk-import courses to your catalog from a CSV database file. Handy! Especially during implementation, but other times, too, no doubt.

Tweaked a few things on the new recurring payments/donations settings to clarify the setup process.

Changes made to rubrics and their precious criteria are now changelogged wherever changes that have changed are logged.

Academics > Reporting hath a new Standardized Test Scores report.

Zoom made updates to their "granular scopes" so we made updates to our Zoom integration.

Students have had a Profile > Student > Schedule view for a few months now, and their professors looked upon it with great jealousy. But now Faculty have their own Schedule view on their profiles.

A new API call lets you create a system email address, even if you're all tied up with Google.

A different new API call lets you trigger the Canvas sync (if for some baffling reason you aren't using our built-in LMS).

Financial Aid > Settings > Aid Year Schedules now lets you exhume retired AYSes and un-retire them, or de-retire them, if you will.

A new automations filter lets you catch organizations according to their type.

Calendar now lets you accept invitations from the Invitations view.

Enrollment Agreements have a new variable for non-primary phone number.

The Charges/Credits export in Billing has new columns for Totals By Charge and Totals By Account.

You can now change a donation's fund/funds after it has been added (previously you had to destroy the donation record and create a new one from the wreckage of the old).

The data backup now includes which roles can see which files on the Activity Feed.

Reworked letter template variables so they're now more newer and reworked.

Added support for student_id as a custom parameter in the SSO IdP servicer provider settings.

In fixing up the Data Slicer filters for contact info, we added stuff like is/is not, system email, exists/doesn't exist, and blank/ain't blank conditions.

Bugfixes

Made a number of adjustments to the expected aid amount on student summaries that take more factors into account and should hopefully present amounts more in keeping with what's shown elsewhere in Populi.
