May 13 to May 17, 2024 Release Notes

Features & Improvements

Financial Aid > Awards > Awards has a new action that lets you set awards to Offered in bulk.

Fine-tuned a few things with SAP Policies so that Populi will never automatically set a student to the "Probation" status; based on customer feedback, that's a status that should be left up to the discretion of school staff, and so now that status is only available via a manual change by a Financial Aid user.

Bugfixes

The application embed code wasn't updating if you changed the Source setting, even though it's s'posed to.

Students with ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ UNITED STATES ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ listed as their home country were showing as International in the Data Slicer's Region column owing to an unpatriotic little bug.

Videos and Focus Sessions

Next week's Focus Sessions shall be....

  • Introduction to Academics: You might not know this, but Populi handles academics! Learn about this little-known area with a look at academic years, terms, programs, degrees, the course catalog, course instances, enrollment, and so on. This will be most useful to Registrar and Academic Admin users. It's scheduled for May 21st, 2024, 11:00 AM Pacific time.
  • Introduction to Admissions: Another obscure feature of Populi is the whole Admissions section. Get introduced to this hidden gem with a look at application settings, designing your application, processing applications, managing leads and so on. This will be most useful to Admissions and Admissions Admin users. It's scheduled for May 23rd, 2024, 11:00 AM Pacific time.

Last week's video had the work "amuck" in the description on YouTube. This week's video is Duck Amuck, starring Daffy Duck. It has only the thinnest, flimsiest connection to Populiโ€”the unseen animator in the cartoon is constantly customizing Daffy's appearance, just as you can do with Populi in Account > Settings > Appearance.
