August 12 to August 16, 2024 Release Notes

Features & Improvements

When admissions staff leaves a note on an application field, doing so now updates the staff activity field.

When the student role is set to inactive, the student ID number and standing information now disappear (they used to just stay there whether or not they were wanted).

A new automation trigger listens for when a person is marked deceased.

Added a Term Units Enrolled filter to the Student Course Enrollment Status automation.

New localization: Turkish!

Fine-tuned the automated disbursement emails to divide the disbursement term from the disbursement academic year.

You can now use the API to update a person's localization. Try it out with the new Turkish one! Might be a fun gag to play on someone who doesn't understand a lick of Turkish.

Bugfixes

COD student level codes were not importing correctly to aid applications, nor were they appearing correctly in COD information displays.

SAP status wasn't calculating for students finalized before the end of the term.

Longer pre-set messages in Campus Notifications were getting needlessly and falsely truncated.

Refunds for transcript requests and bookstore orders weren't working with Stripe, but they're working now!

Videos and Focus Sessions

Focus Sessions next week:

  • Introduction to Admissions: Here's one that'll cover application settings, designing your application, processing applications, managing leads and so on. This will be most useful to Admissions and Admissions Admin users. It's scheduled for August 20th, 2024, 11:00 AM Pacific time.
  • Introduction to Running Courses: And another one that'll get into course settings, lessons, assignments, discussions, tests, grading, and so on. This will be most useful to Academic Admin, Faculty, and Teaching Assistant users. It's scheduled for August 22nd, 2024, 11:00 AM Pacific time.

Josh starts with an imprecise, slightly baffling picture, but quickly gains his footing for a solid look at cross-listed courses.
