September 23 to September 27, 2024 Release Notes

Features & Improvements

We've done it folks. The last piece of Populi has been installed. The final thing we needed to do to make it complete in every way. Are you ready for this? I'm so jittery I can barely type this release note! Phew. Calmed, centered, ready to proceed. Mmkay. Here it goes:

We've increased the character limit on the license plate field. It used to be 10 characters. Now...

...it's 273,828 15 characters.

That's a little disappointing, actually. I myself was lobbying for way more than 15 characters. My truck's license plate is the full text of Denis Johnson's classic novella Train Dreams, so there's still no way for me to enter it in Populi. Josh Stevenson has his ten favorite Steven Wright jokes on his license plate. Isaac Grauke's is a stirring flyfishing passage from A River Runs Through It. Okay, so the new field won't fit our vanity license plates, but it'll still accommodate most of what's out there, I guess.

Bugfixes

Fixed a bug that, if you changed the sender on a communication plan, certain emails would not appear on the recipient's activity feed.
