November 4 to November 8, 2024 Release Notes

Features & Improvements

On course rosters, the Import Students from Another Course action now warns you if a student you're trying to import has already passed the course you're trying to enroll him in.

Bugfixes

During registration, we just weren't considering course equivalencies when calculating whether or not a student has fulfilled concurrent prerequisite courses. And now we just are.

We were prohibiting you from deleting lead sources that were only attached to deleted people, which was making cleanup of old, useless lead sources a real pain in the tukhus.

Linked Office-Use-Only fields on applications absolutely refused to update the profile if the field had been updated before the application had been linked to a person. That is, until we had a little talk with them.

The Course Name conditions in the various report filters in Academics didn't like it if you used apostrophes. Now they love it!

Videos and Focus Sessions

Focus Sessions spinning up for next week:

  • Introduction to Degree Audit: Get acquainted with degree requirements, course groups, course mapping, exceptions, transcripts and so on. This will be most useful to Academic Admin and Registrar users. It's scheduled for November 12th, 2024, 11:00 AM Pacific time.
  • Introduction to Financial Aid: Shake hands with financial aid settings, awards, packaging aid, disbursements, aid applications and so on. This will be most useful to Financial Aid and Financial Admin users. It's scheduled for November 14th, 2024, 11:00 AM Pacific time.

Josh would whisk you away to an enchanted world of applications, inquiries, financial aid information, and forms—if he could. But he can't! But you know what can? Josh does: the Admissions Portal.
