Features & Improvements
Welp, whether you want them or not, Forms are now out of beta and are available to all of our customers. Enjoy! (You probably will; they're really useful.)
We've updated how you track Leaves of Absence. Previously it was a field in the Student Info panel that only kept track of the current LOA. Now it has its own panel on Profile > Student, lets you add comments and files, stores and displays all historical LOAs, and feeds into more reports around Populi.
Linked form fields that let respondents upload multiple files will now append uploaded files to the associated profile field (they previously over-wrote those files).
Learning Accommodations: a new panel on Profile > Student lets Academic Admins and Registrars record learning accommodations for individual students. The note area is made available to the student's faculty and advisors (via the course roster and the student Advising view, respectively), while any files remain restricted to Academic Admins and Registrars.
Application forms have a new linked Campus field; applicants can choose which campus they wish to attend, and you can import that to Student Info when you accept the application.
Financial Admins can now bulk-update posted dates on invoices.
Financial > Settings has a new setting that lets you enter customized reporting buckets for the Aging Report. After a long period of debate and deliberation, we called it Reporting Buckets for Aging Report.
There are now Staff and Faculty ID numbers like what students have had for years; there's a boring default version and the ability to customize them (WITHIN REASON, of course... we don't let you go that crazy with these) in Contacts.
Letter and Email Templates have new variables for Program and Advisor.
There's a new option to unlink an inquiry from a lead.
And a new option to allow donors to cover any convenience fees for online donations.
And and a new Permissions setting for Campus Life that lets users with only the Campus Life role update historic or invoiced room plans and meal plans; previously you also needed at least the Student Billing role to do this.
And and and a more fully-implemented version of the checkbox that Shows Transfer Degrees on Transcript that actually shows transfer degrees on the transcript.
And and and and the ability to restore a recently-deleted file in Account > Reporting > Changes.
Bugfixes
When linking a form to a person, it was possible to type a name in the linked person form field but not actually select a result. Then the form would show an unhelpful error. Now it just doesn't let you do that and FORCES you to select a person for reals this time.
Found a bunch of edge-casey loopholes where if you failed a prereq course that could be taken concurrently with two or more courses, you could still enroll in the subsequent courses, and you also wouldn't be automatically withdrawn from those subsequent courses. (By "you" I mean "students".)
A related issue: Prereq courses that may be taken concurrently were not appearing on Profile > Registration under Available Courses.
Found another edge-case in Gradebook where if you changed an assignment grade on the assignment's page while Gradebook was open for editing, when you saved Gradebook, it wouldn't save the updated assignment grade.
Generating COD XML files was super-duper slow. Optimized it to make it sooper-dooper fast.
