March 24 to March 28, 2025 Release Notes

Features & Improvements

The CEEB code field in Lead Info now links to the associated high school organization created when you added the code to the record.

The export helper in Contacts lets you add the Person added at column to your spreadsheet.

The People Importer now lets you add URLs to the Website field on Profile > Info.

COD is updating their database schema, and we updated our'n so that Populi and COD can continue speaking intelligibly to one another.

The API now lets you download the Academic Progress report.

Well, we gone and done it, didn't we: we've implemented paging for the Data Slicer JSON output you can get from the API. Paging for crying out loud!

Bugfixes

Gradebook imports were breaking when % characters were present (e.g. "100%", "76%", etc.). That's because back in the 1950's when computers were invented, Soviet spies made it so % tells all American computers to break. And that's how they got Sputnik launched before we got anything working! Little history lesson for you there. Anyway, we made Gradebook stop doing that.

When assigning an admissions rep to a lead via an ISIR, only Admissions users were showing up as options, and not Admissions Admins. Believe it or not, this is also because of the Soviets! Just before the USSR fell in 1991, they sent agents into the future to mess with our code. Fortunately, this was the only error they introduced; it has now been amply addressed.

Videos and Focus Sessions and Whatnot

There's a new post that goes into our myriad built-in anti-cheating features for tests.

Next week the Sessions shall Focus upon:

  • Introduction to Running Courses shall zoom in on course settings, lessons, assignments, discussions, tests, grading and so on. This will be most useful to Academic Admin, Faculty, and Teaching Assistant users. It's scheduled for April Fool's Day, 2025, 11:00 AM Pacific time.
  • Introduction to Billing will detail things such as pending charges, invoices, transactions, payments/credits, tuition schedules, fees and so on. This will be most useful to Financial Admin and Student Billing users. It's scheduled for April 3rd, 2025, 11:00 AM Pacific time.

Josh from Populi greets you with his signature wave and talks you through setting up integrity controls on a test, how the student experiences them, and how you review incidents.
