Features & Improvements
More soft credit stuff. For awhile, you've been able to link spouses to donors for soft credits on an ongoing basis—that is, you don't have to keep re-entering the spouse for the soft credit. Now you can do the same for all people and organizations. On Profile > Financial > Donations you'll find a Soft Credits panel where you can select people and orgs who'll be automatically included as soft credits whenever the person or organization makes a donation.
The Contacts > People report has a new filter for organization member status.
The API now lets you pull rubric scores.
Campus Life custom fields now have the Data Permissions options (that is, whether the profile owner can view/edit them) that, up until this week, were only available to other kinds of custom fields.
HTML Layouts have gender variables available now. And ID Card Layouts have an Enrollment Date variable. And you have new date formatting options that let you spell out a date, e.g. This Twenty-Fifth Day of May in the Year of Our Lord Two-thousand and Twenty-five (and variations thereof).
Automations can now email someone a student's Profile > Student URL.
Added a column for external_id
to the Degrees export.
One for that liminal area between Feature and Bugfix: password-protected transcript emails used to be accompanied by a separate email containing the password for the file. This was pure security theater and the second email would often head into recipients' spam folders. Now the password is included in the transcript email, and there's an option to not include it in case you want to transmit the password by some other means.
Bugfixes
If you exported—or, rather, tried to export—a grade report from a student's profile when he had an inactive program and an active program, you were faced with a useless drop-down that wouldn't let you choose a program. Now you're graced with a working drop-down!
In a separate and unrelated issue, you couldn't bulk-export grade reports because of a back-end problem with a different program selector. I swear, these really were two separate problems!
Adding new Library Patrons was broken, so we un-broke it for you.
