August 25 to August 29, 2025 Release Notes

Features & Improvements

Editing course delivery methods (on Course > Settings) has a new doohickey that lets you update student course delivery methods in bulk or remove them from the course altogether.

Bugfixes

If a student's name was too long long enough, it would be hidden in the Course > Lessons > Student Progress report.

Bookstore order notifications were broken. Nothing was getting through. No books, no school swag, nothing. All because the Bookstore wasn't flicking the clapper in the notifications dingybell.

The Add Charge/Credit dialog was missing, and I quote, "some logic that automatically calculated charges have" when dealing with manually-added tuition brackets. We added that logic. Very vague, but the complaints were not, so whatever they added worked.

When you tried adding filters to the Disbursements report, the filter would just reset itself. One of our johnny-on-the-spot devs immediately knew what was wrong and fixed it, but otherwise shared no details. I dunno, he probably just did some nerd stuff to make it work.

The People Importer was choking on a different set of "weird characters" than what it was choking on last week. Now you can import all the weird characters you want into your Populi site. We're not gonna stop you.

Picture this: a donor selects a payment amount, proceeds to the payment page, then thinks, "Eh, I want to send this school THREE TIMES AS MUCH!", and goes back to the payment selector to click the "3X AS MUCH!!!" button... but little does he know that there's a bug that will display the original amount on his donation. We nipped this in the bud.

When adding a discipline record to a student, we were stupidly allowing you to set an end date that was before the start date. We've given ourselves a good rappin' on the knuckles with the ol' ruler.

Videos and Focus Sessions

"It's the golden age of Josh" according to the news, and what better way to celebrate than to watch our very own Josh (that's literal: he is property of the Populi Corporation) tell students how to see their financial aid?
