January 5 to January 9, 2026 Release Notes

Features & Improvements

Since IPEDS wants more information for their 25-26 Financial Aid report (to-wit, all students now have the same requirements as first-time, full-time students), we've obligingly updated our Preset report to include all that.

Bugfixes

Fixed a bug on the Donations report's filter where if your filter contained Tax Year and any other conditions, it would show you Tax Year = 2026 when you applied the filter.

The Student Loan Clearinghouse report was rounding some Less than half time students up to Half time and some 3/4 time students up to Full time. This credit load inflation had to stop.

"Campus" fee rules did not make it clear that the campus in question is the course's campus, not the student's, so we fixed that label in fee rules.

If you set a fixed price for a Bookstore Bundle that was greater than or equal to a thousand bucks, the price wouldn't save. It would just go blank. Tumbleweeds, dust, nothingness. A hawk would screech overhead. The incessant desert sun would bear down on you. The distant mountain peaks, sharp beneath the unforgiving blue sky, remained indifferent to your plight. A coyote like some half-dead prophet would yap madly at the creosote brush and pause for a response that never unearthed itself.

Videos and Focus Sessions

New year, same rotation of Focus Sessions, but they might be new to you! Here's what's on the docket for next week:

  • Introduction to Academics: This one walks you through academic years, terms, programs, degrees, the course catalog, course instances, enrollment and so on. This will be most useful to Registrar and Academic Admin users. It's scheduled for January 13th, 2026, 11:00 AM Pacific time.
  • Introduction to Admissions: Get a look at application settings, designing your application, processing applications, managing leads and so on. This will be most useful to Admissions and Admissions Admin users. It's scheduled for January 15th, 2026, 11:00 AM Pacific time.

Fresh off some hilarious Christmas hijinks with Santa and a clandestine elf and a 1990 Toyota Corolla, Josh is back with our annual look at 1098-Ts in Populi.
