June 1 to June 5, 2026 Release Notes

Features & Improvements

We decided to show grading notes on the Test > History view because we're practical like that.

'Twas a time that, if an Enrollment Agreement was still awaiting the student's signature, you could delete the underlying Enrollment Agreement print layout and thereby just BREAK the whole thing. We decided to stop letting you delete those layouts if there’s a pending EnRag somewhere.

We made the choice to add Organization URL variables to organization-related automation emails.

It was our decision to add custom financial field variables to Enrollment Agreement layouts (which, you'll remember, you can't delete if there's still one waiting for a student to sign it).

A customer begged us with tears and supplications to include course substitutions and waivers from degree audits in the data backup. Exercising our free agency to act upon the part of this world encased in the Populi codebase, we listened to his pleas.

Bugfixes

We didn't choose to do this: cloning application forms was broken.

We didn't happen to it, it happened to us: the new Manage Assets option in print layouts claimed the ability to handle image files, but only actually accepted font files.

Videos and Focus Sessions

Make the choice to attend a Focus Session next week if that's appropriate for your role at your school:

  • Introduction to Academics: You'll probably want to know more than you currently do about academic years, terms, programs, degrees, the course catalog, course instances, enrollment and so on. This will be most useful to Registrar and Academic Admin users. It's scheduled for June 9th, 2026, 11:00 AM Pacific time.
  • Introduction to Admissions: You don't currently know enough about application settings, designing your application, processing applications, managing leads and so on, but you will if you're an Admissions or Admissions Admin. It's scheduled for June 11th, 2026, 11:00 AM Pacific time.

Josh approaches you in a bodega, wondering if you've heard about user roles. You demur and watch the video.
