July 27 to July 31, 2026 Release Notes

Features & Improvements

Made various improvements to the online payments checkout page:

Added a Confirm step to the process (to help conform to modern online payment practices). Now it's Checkout > Payment Details > Confirm Charges (and the Pay Now button) > Receipt.

The confirm step lets us check behind-the-scenes if the card is credit or debit, which lets us calculate the correct service fee charges.

Which brings up another thing: when you add or edit a payment gateway (Accounting > Settings), you can specify different service fees for credit and debit cards.

Which brings up yet another thing: convenience fees are now called Service Fees. eCheck is now ACH everywhere. And "Credit Card" is now just "Card". Words are powerful things.

    Numerous arcane technical cleanup items.

Contacts > People has a new Create Users action.

Applications > Summary has been given a new action to let you update the academic term for the applications shown in the report.

If you can't delete a course from a term, we now condescend to tell you why you can't, a long-overdue improvement.

Individual donations have actions for printing mailing labels and envelopes.

The General Ledger Summary has a new filter condition for academic term.

When exporting admissions letters, you now have the option of exporting a zipped file with individual letters by-student in addition to the existing “one corpulent PDF for all of them”.

The API docs have been paginated.

Bugfixes

Two-factor authentication used to only work for active roles. But now it can cover users with inactive roles.

If you edited a scheduled email when there were multiple recipients with the same name and primary address, the recipients list would duplicate itself with each edit.

Fixed numerous small but annoying display bugs.

Get this: even if a student was not eligible for a Pell award, the system was still trying to autocalculate one for him.

Also, get this: if you pasted in a net amount value into a Plus Loan instead of typing it out, the disbursements were not autopopulating.

Navigating to a course and then back to the Registration screen would mess with your Show: drop-downs.

The course book list export was doing a poor job of indicating whether or not a book was required.
