August 24 to August 28, 2026 Release Notes

Features & Improvements

Made the date display on Academics > Term Info consistent. Now it's Mon. DD, YYYY. Used to be a buncha different things.

If you print an envelope for a donor with a combined name (e.g. if the donor’s spouse is listed as a soft credit), it now prints the combined name.

Bugfixes

When editing an academic term's info, clicking the calendar in the datepicker would bring up the next month. E.g., you click a date in December 2026 and the calendar says January 2027. Awfully annoying, that was.

Found some kind of issue with forwarding an email from notifications@populi.co to someone and BCC'ing your Populi dropbox.

Some updates we made to names recently caused a bunch of false "AKA names" to appear on the Contacts > People report.

We used to let you introduce bad attendance data by setting an invalid attendance status using the API. How dumb of us! We fixed that and spruced up the attendance cache (I guess that's an emergency supply of attendance that's hidden in a hole on a mountain?) so it would skip any bad data that does pop up.

Fixed up some nonsense that was going on with billing calculations on enrollment agreements when superterms were involved.

When you switched from an application's Form view to its Notifications view, the Back To Applications button would stop working. We put an end to that tomfoolery.

The system was sometimes using inactive degrees to determine whether a student should appear on the FVT/GE report. Silly system.

When creating a File-type assignment, we used to let you choose the Custom option for file type but then not enter any file types in the list, meaning nothing could be uploaded. We're a bunch of silly geese over here sometimes.
