Features & Improvements
If a user has never logged in, we now give you the option to Resend Welcome Email instead of the somewhat misleading option to Reset Password.
Added a Sender System Email variable to Email Templates.
Elsewhere, we added an is_primary parameter to the API's EmailAddress > create endpoint.
For exports, we added timestamps to the file names (so you can sort though a pile of them on your computer). Also added some subtle text on the download page that includes the date and time.
Found a few straggler items that were still called "Bookstore this'n'that" that needed to be called "Campus Store this'n'that", so we changed them.
Standardized date display formats. Sometimes you'd get 8/19/2026 and two fields later it'd be 08/19/26. Very unprofessional, and if these Release Notes exemplify anything, it's that we're sticklers for professionalism. We've normalized the display format around the former example.
If you try to set up a form status notification using a status that's not available owing to the form’s Review settings, we now warn you about that. Everyone loves a nice warning. Definitely beats something that just inexplicably doesn't work.
If you've ever wanted to click Actions on a donation's page and select Print soft credit donor envelope, that's now a thing you can do.
We expanded the Likert field type character limit from 20 to 30. I'm sure next week someone is gonna want it to be 31 characters.
Bugfixes
Domain validation wasn't working because of a "communication error". Sounds like a euphemism for something more serious. But no, that's all it was: something was broken in the thing that tells the other thing to do the domain validation.
There was an API called that wasn't working because of "overlooked permissions with non-standard names." Sounds like a euphemism for something, or like that phrasing is deliberately ambigious... is "overlooked" a verb or an adjective there? What's really going on?
Another API problem involving the word "permissions", this one popping up when you tried saving the Edit Roles dialog for API tokens: it would say that you didn't have permission to do that. Permission? From who?
Fixed a typo on the Account > Domains page. I dare you to go looking for it. You won't find it. It's gone. No euphemisms: we disappeared that typo.
When calling GET /people/[person], the image_file_id attribute stays the same before and after changing their ID photo. Seems suspiciouly like "stays the same" actually means "wasn't changing". Is it that we're running out of image_file_id numbers and no one wants to start a panic?
Videos and Focus Sessions
Summer's drawing to a close, but Focus Sessions keep rumblin' on:
- Introduction to Degree Audit: The day after Labor Day, get introduced to degree requirements, course groups, course mapping, exceptions, transcripts and so on. This will be most useful to Academic Admin and Registrar users. It's scheduled for Sepember 8th, 2026, 11:00 AM Pacific time.
- Introduction to Financial Aid: A couple days after that, something totally different: a look at financial aid settings, awards, packaging aid, disbursements, aid applications and so on. This will be most useful to Financial Aid and Financial Admin users. It's scheduled for September 10th, 2026, 11:00 AM Pacific time.
