August 29 to September 2, 2022 Release Notes

Features & Improvements

The General Ledger's Summary and Detail views both now have a sparkling new Transaction Number filter condition.

finalizeStudentCourseEnrollment lets you individually finalize students using the API. Can't say that about too many other features, now can you?

The Has ID Photo filter condition in Contacts > People now also resides in the Data Slicer.

We once hid the rubric scores icon (this'n: ) when the total for the scored rubric didn't match the final assignment grade, but now we'll always show available rubric scores. That's our pledge to you!

Bugfixes

The General Ledger's Detail view, despite being the recipient of our generosity (see above) was nonetheless ungratefully excluding non term-related charges when you filtered to exclude term-related charges.

The text message character-counter wasn't working, but it's back up-and-running.

Videos and Focus Sessions

Couple Focus Sessions next week:

  • Introduction to Running Courses walks you through course settings, lessons, assignments, discussions, tests, grading, and so on. This will be most useful to Academic Admin, Faculty, and Teaching Assistant users. It's scheduled for September 6th, 2022, 11:00 AM Pacific time.
  • Introduction to Billing gives you a look-see at pending charges, invoices, transactions, payments/credits, tuition schedules, fees and so on. This will be most useful to Financial Admin and Student Billing users. It's scheduled for September 8th, 2022, 11:00 AM Pacific time.

Josh has a vision for something that sounds exactly like what we're hoping to do with the Populi Discord Server (to which you may request an invitation by logging in to Populi and writing to Populi Support).

An old-timey, B&W Josh invites you to the figure by describing how simple transcript requests are in Populi.
