Videos and Focus Sessions

Next week's Focus Sessions shall proceed thusly:

• Introduction to Academics: This one dives into the basics of setting up academic years, terms, programs, degrees, the course catalog, course instances and so on. This will be most useful to Registrar and Academic Admin users. It's scheduled for October 18th, 2022, 11:00 AM Pacific time.
• Introduction to Admissions: Learn about application settings, designing your application, processing applications, managing leads and so on. This will be most useful to Admissions and Admissions Admin users. It's scheduled for October 20th, 2022, 11:00 AM Pacific time. This one will include a number of caveats given that some big updates are in the works for applications (if you're curious, the Design article has already been updated).

In a video that is at least 50% caveat-free, Josh Stevenson goes on for like, 11 minutes about how we just wing it when it comes to GPA calculations. And by "wing it", we mean think it through carefully and devote lots of code and resources at it.
