I noticed when the library settings are set to report an item as lost after so many days that it records that the person who checked out the item reported it as lost. For example, I checked out TV equipment that is set to be reported as lost after 1 day of being checked out. The "Copy History" section now says that I reported the TV equipment as lost which is not accurate. The system reported the TV equipment as lost. Is there a way that we can change that so that it reflects that the system reported it as lost instead of the person who checked it out? I feel this would be a more accurate representation of what actually happened for historical purposes.
