Can I add a tab to my library component? Currently my choices are:
Catalog
Calendar
Links
My Profile
Settings
Patrons
Check In
Check Out
Circulation
Pull List
I use "links" for everything extra I want students to have access to; however, it is so broad a category that I don't feel I can categorize all I want to add in anyway that is user-friendly. Potentially, I could have a 100 links but if they are all lumped under "links," students won't find them very helpful. If I could add tabs, I would want to label them specifically like: databases, blogs, writing aids, ESL, current events,. . . . I can certainly play with the "create list" option to organize info, but most students just aren't seeing the "links" tab for some reason and are missing so much good stuff. I think they are so busy doing everything else on Populi that they are overloaded by the time they need to hit the library. Unless it's right in front of them, it would seem, they tend to miss what we really want them to see.
