Assignment Due Date and Assignment Availability (visibility) should be two separate fields. Right now they are linked as one which does not make sense. There is no way to hide an assignment until the week of its lesson for example and then make it due at the end of the week.

Protodeacon Joseph Appling Further to this, this issue completely breaks the ability to automatically grade assignments as in order to make the assignment visible before the actual due date, every students submission is marked as late.
