In response to our recent accreditation visit, they’ve requested we identify at-risk students and seek to offer services to help them be successful. The struggle is that while some advisors may know a student is at-risk, there is not a way to communicate this (easily) to the instructors. At another institution, I received a weekly report as a faculty member for those students in my classes that were color-coded (green = ok, orange = medium risk; red = high potential for dropping out).
Consider some way for the Admissions Dept. to identify at-risk students, and then the information show up on Faculty rosters...so faculty can better identify and serve the at-risk student.

Evan Donovan I agree that it should be possible for the at-risk indicators to be visible to Faculty or Staff (if desired), not just Advisor role.

Evan Donovan As the OP said, this can be an accreditation requirement (for example for the Standard IV of DEAC Accreditation Requirements, with DEAC being one of the 2 largest online-only accreditors)
