In the lesson tab, there is a way to break assignments into weekly assignments based upon due dates. However, when you click on the assignment tab, there is a long list of all assignments for the course. Is there a way to separate these into Weeks or have different tabs to click for each week so it's easier to navigate and locate specific assignments for grading?

Adam Sentz @Tiffany - Usually folks will divide assignments up into Weeks by attaching them to lessons. Then you can see just that week's assignments in the Assignments tab on that lesson.

Jessica Babaker Adam Sentz this is such a great and practical suggestion, and I am going to look into doing this. It could really help clarify things for the students.
I will still add that a little more functionality on the assignments page would go along way for the students and the instructors, because the list can be overwhelmingly long sometimes. One question I get quite frequently is for the ability to hide/minimize assignments. For instance, you could have the option to hide assignments you have already submitted (or in the teacher's case, graded). Maybe they remain visible, but are pulled to a new section.
