It would be helpful for students to get an automatic confirmation page that pops up once their application is submitted. Something instant that gives them confirmation as well as direction to the next step. Students have not completed applications but somehow think they have.

Registrar Julia Ritter We recently started using Populi and have had applicants call after submitting their application to ask if we received it because there was no confirmation / notification. Please add this feature if at all possible.

Adam Sentz @Julia - There should be a confirmation, and the applicant should be receiving email notifications as well. If you can open a support request with some more details we can check into it for you.

Zach Krenn @Adam this request has been marked as completed but I was just advised from Isaac G. from support chat to come to this thread to comment/vote etc. in an attempt to make this feature a reality.
Here is what I am trying to accomplish:
We currently have people registering for various events/symposiums etc. through populi. We have embedded forms on our website that people fill out, which then takes them to the actual application form as well as to payment information for certain events. Once they fill out the application form and submit their payment I want that person to automatically receive an email that confirms that all of their information and payment made it over to us. I'd like this auto email to be something that we can write ourselves. This is absolutely a standard in todays world for people to receive confirmation in concrete recordable ways that they have paid us and also have completed an application. I cannot find a way to set up this automatic email anywhere in populi. Am I missing something? This seems like a very simple thing that should and needs to be possible.

Adam Sentz @Zach - It sounds like you're using applications for even registration which isn't something we've designed it to do. Since that's outside the scope of this feature request, and this request is already marked completed I'd recommend opening a new feature request. Sounds like a useful feature, but probably something that we'd try to solve without involving the application process. Sorry to give you the run-around, but this will stand a better chance of getting votes and feedback if it's on its own request.
