Is there a way to distinguish more clearly between "file" assignments that accept uploads and "grade only" assignments that do not?
When a student opens the assignment page, even if the assignment is "grade only", they can still attach and upload documents. Further, there is no visible distinction between the uploading area of an assignment that is designated "file" and and assignment that is designated "grade only". It seems like the only distinction is that, after you upload, the "file" assignment shows up in the viewer.
The problem is that because students can still upload files into a "grade only" assignment, it's easy for them to assume that because it's possible, it's permitted.
I don't necessarily want to remove the option of uploading files in a "grade-only" assignment, but I'm asking if there is a way to distinguish a "file" assignment upload from a "grade only" file upload. A different design, different color, warning banner, tag, ... something that communicates "This is where you upload your final assignment as instructed" vs. "Please do not upload your final assignment - uploads are not accepted for this assignment".
