Could Populi create a report that shows courses and their locked/unlocked status at the super term level?
Some super terms have several subterms associated with it and it would be a real time saver if we could list course information (including locked/unlocked status) at the superterm level.
I completely agree! Since accreditation requires reporting faculty and all of their courses, this would be a great feature that would prevent us from having to download data for every sub session under the super term. It’s also so frustrating that Populi operates like a social media platform that only implements needed improvements when it is perceived as “popular”.

I'm not sure how you got that impression, but I'd encourage you to filter the Feature Request forum by Completed, sort by Votes, and then go all the way to Page 30 and work your way back until you find requests you'd consider "popular." You have to get to Page 21 before you even find a request with a single upvote and Page 16 before you see one with two votes (the requester plus one other person, presumably). To say nothing of everything we implement that isn't in the Feature Request forum at all.
Not saying popularity hurts, but a good idea is a good idea and we discuss feedback from customers on its merit on a daily basis.
I got that impression because anytime we make requests, we are told to go to a corresponding request and “upvote” it (that’s why I even landed on this page). So now that leads me to believe the upvotes mean nothing and they’re there to just pacify the customers.
For instance, so many people have requested and upvoted the need to clone lessons in a course so instructors do not have to keep recreating the same format for each lesson and that still has not been implemented. This begs the question, who makes the call on what is a “good idea” and how many courses do they themselves teach, create, or facilitate each semester?
Dr. Adam Christmas - If you send a feature request to Support they will generally check to see if there's an existing request and send you a link to it so we can capture related feedback in one place. When we are working on features we'll search this forum to, for example, make sure updates we are working on cover use cases that customers have already reported to us. It's really helpful to have everything in one thread.
I wouldn't say upvotes mean nothing, but they don't mean everything either. We explain this a bit here. Sometimes we get sent something and we just say "that's a great idea" and it might be easy to implement or difficult to implement or anywhere in between. Other times we might not have that immediate response, but it turns out, over time, that out lots of folks are looking for a solution so it gives us a reason to keep thinking on it.
Cloning Lessons is a good example of something we think is a good idea, but is a bigger project than it might immediately appear to be. Our development resources aren't infinite so sometimes it just takes a while to get to things. We wish we could do everything we know is worth doing all at once, but it's just not possible. We were able to get Assignment cloning added a little while back, and we are working on a bunch of Test improvements currently. From what I can tell, demand for more things like sophisticated scheduling, multiple course evaluations, outcomes, groups, and maybe a couple other LMS items is even greater - so there's lots to work on in Courses.
