Please allow students to download their student ID card image without faculty involvement.
Currently, the only way for a student to access their ID card, without staff involvement is through the app. They can take a screenshot and then crop the screenshot to the actual size of the ID card.
This is a cumbersome process without any consistency in ID card size.

Since students aren't on campus it would be great for them to be able to download their id cards without us mailing them. It's expensive to mail to our International students, especially since we don't even know if mail is reaching some countries.
Can y'all provide more info about how a student would use this?
Are you asking how a student would use an ID? From Google: Student ID cards serve a variety of purposes outside of photo identification, and can provide access to such amenities as borrowing books at the school library, attending school events, receiving discounts at local stores and movie theaters, and much more.
If you are asking how the students would download the card, I guess they would click on "Download ID card" and a JPG would be generated. Then they could print it and laminate it at Staples.
Michael Venzor - Sorry, I meant more how would a student use a downloaded ID card file. Can they not use the app ID card at stores etc?
That's a good point. I guess they could. Maybe I'm coming at this from old school thinking - it's always nice to have something in your wallet.
This request came from a student who had to email a photo of their ID to a vendor. Their only option was to take a screenshot and then crop it. So it would have been nice if they had an ID they could line up in their camera phone to take a quicker photo.
But that's the only request I've gotten.
We would like students to be able to download and/or view their ID card from within their Profile. Is that possible at this time? I see someone mentioned "the app"? As an Admin user, I can certainly "Export" the cards, but our students are located all over the world, and we have a very limited staff, so is there a way for them to access their ID card without our help?
Registrar Julia Ritter - If the student has an iOS or Android device they can pull up their ID card inside the Populi App.
Our students are online across the US and we have a very small staff. It would be helpful for them to access their ID cards without help. Many don't use the Populi App.
