Could you please add a type of test question called Drag and Drop, wherein we would upload an image (i.e. a map) and then draw frames in various locations on the map where a student drags the correct label/name to the appropriate frame? We have used this feature in Moodle quite a bit for our geography-related quizzes.

Adam Sentz Andy Rice - I'd recommend labeling the map with generic labels like A, B, C, etc and then setting up a matching question with Area A -> The Correct Name, etc.

Andy Rice Yes! That's what I was thinking as a workaround, and I believe what we will do. The only downside is that it becomes static and introduces a letter/number into the equation which could aid in memory if the question were repeated. Anyway, we'll figure out a way in the meantime, but would love to see it as an option in the future. Thank you for the quick response!

Adam Sentz Andy Rice - If you wanted you could have multiple versions of the question all with the same specific category applied, then you could pull one question from that category at random each time you wanted to include it.

Andy Rice Any update on this? We're still struggling with our map quizzes and not having a drag and drop option. It's a clunky way for teachers to design these types of quizzes. And, because there's no option to opt out of randomization on Matching questions, the use of letters becomes even more confusing (it sometimes places them out of order - e.g. D C B A, which confuses students). I did try to thumbs up a separate feature request asking for an opt-out option for Matching answers.

Adam Sentz Andy Rice - Would the ability to turn of the randomization of answer options be a big help here? We haven't had any other interest in a this as a question type, and requiring drag-and-drop to answer a test question creates an accessibility issue so I don't think it's likely this will gain traction. There seems to be some use cases for the disable-randomization option so that'd be something we can look at.

Andy Rice Thanks, Adam. I hadn't considered the accessibility issue. So yes, disabling randomization for matching questions would be most helpful. For an unrelated course, I was looking for that option recently and added my thumbs up to someone else's request for it. We would love to see that feature!
