We are looking to maintain a folder for each student, something that would contain important documents. The Admissions area has Notes, which works well, but there is no equivalent in the student area.

Adam Sentz Eric Blum - There are a couple existing things you might be able to use. If it's a small number of specific files you could add file type custom fields to the Student Info area to store them. If it's more general you could upload them to the Activity Feed with the appropriate visibility permission, and then retrieve them by filtering the feed by Files.

Eric Blum Thanks, Adam, both of these are things we have explored, but they seem inadequate and awkward. These are "students," and the Custom Fields tab is not in any student associated area. So, for example, if we want to upload their second year financial aid award document, and we wanted to put that in Custom Fields, it would land in their Admissions file, which seems odd.
As for the Activity Feed, that seems like a logical place, but the fact that the Activity Feed puts everything in chronological order, the file would quickly fall out of sight. Yes, we could search for the file, but that requires us to know it is already there. If we add a file (student probation letter), we may never know that there was student probation letter. In other words, you MUST know what you are looking for to find the file.
I believe Populi begs for a file/notes area (or even Custom Fields) in the Activity feed, which is exactly where this logically would reside.

Adam Sentz Eric Blum - There are Student Custom Fields that appear in the Student Info area on the Student tab of the Profile. You can set these up in Academics > Settings > Student Fields. There are also Term Student Fields as well if the data you want to store happens to be tied to particular terms. There also Financial Aid custom fields if you'd prefer to have it area on the Profile > Financial > Financial Aid tab. If you need assistance setting any of these up please reach out to Populi Support via a support request.

Eric Blum That is perfect...I had no idea that existed...but I am glad it does. We will start using it, immediately.
