Allow the option for the initial application screen to be removed for schools if they would like. The initial application screen is redundant since we ask for the same information in the application itself (which could be confusing for applicants) and it doesn't look pretty nor allows for customization.

Brendan O'Donnell Official comment The initial application form is used to collect enough information for you to create a person in Populi, because it’s always easier to deal with a person who’s applying than a disconnected, abstracted application. To mitigate issues with applicants filling out the initial form and not proceeding with the rest of the application, we’ve made that initial form embeddable. When you embed it in another page, you can use that page to convey instructions like “This starts a real application; if you’re just looking for information, click here to contact our Admissions team” (or something similar).

Kalia Kellogg Yes, please!
If they came in as prospects, then we could keep it. I understand the intention behind it, but what it does is mislead students to think they have actually submitted something (and I believe they want access to the full application itself so they can determine what the requirements will be) so it is elevating the number of applications and they are not serious applications. It is essentially acting like both an application and an inquiry form and then we have a huge number of students we are tracking with “complete your application” emails instead of recruitment emails. It throws off our communications outreach and our yield numbers.
This was my initial request to the Populi Help:
We have too many started applications that are never completed beyond the initial information that appears on our Web page. It appears as just a few fields (like an application introduction, perhaps?) and has "submit" at the bottom. We have a fair number of applicants who never progress beyond that point.
We would like to explore whether we can remove the introductory fields and have the applicants taken to the full application right away so they don't utilize it as an information request form or perhaps to see what all the application elements are. I was told by my Web colleagues that this is the only way we can link to the Populi application. Is that correct?

Adam Sentz Kalia Kellogg - Are you using the Inquiry form as well?

Kalia Kellogg We do have a "Request Information" button that leads to the inquiry form. But we have so many applicants that start those preview fields and then don't do anything else. I think they are trying to get more information about the application process or see the application itself or connect. But then they get emails about missing items instead of email that are more geared toward recruitment. So we'd like to disable the preview and take them directly to the full application ...

Alex Fields I second Kalia! We would love to have the initial screen removed please and just go straight to our application. We have the same issues that she mentions.

Paulina Vazquez I agreed with it. It's confusing for students to fill out two forms at the same time, where they are answering the same thing.
