Tracking IP address by user in a specific course

I know one can view the IP addresses by user when they log in to Populi.  (account & settings > reporting > logins).

It would be nice if the filter could include by course.  Here's why - A school is California posted this issue in a discussion board that I'm a part of - "One of the challenges we all face is verifying that students are actually the authors of the work they submit in courses via the LMS. Recently, we discovered irregular patterns when analyzing IP addresses that raised concerns in a few instances about whether students had shared their login credentials with an individual who was submitting work on their behalf. In some cases, students admitted having done so. But in other cases, they adamantly denied such behavior."

Currently, there does not appear to be an easy way to pull data to know who is logging into specific courses (by IP address).

  Kevin Larsen - Populi tracks IP on test question responses, but it sounds like it might be handy to have on anything that's graded potentially. Are there any particular areas where this would be especially beneficial?

  All assignments would be good.  I've had a rare occasion to think that someone's discussion board post was not made by the student, but someone else posing as the student.

  But I'm also interested in easy access to that data.  If I can run a report on a user in a course and see what IPs were used to access that course by that user, it allows for a quick review.  If I have to manually go to each assignment and get the IP address, that's fairly labor intensive.  (For example, if I see a list and all the logins are NC and then there are scattered ones from NY when the student was here on campus - red flag.)
