Quantifying Pass/Fail Grades and Name Options

We have two requests for the new pass/fail grades (which are such a great addition, by the way!).

1. We would like to be able to assign our own names to the pass/fail grades. For instance, S/U (Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory), or AC/LC (Achieved Competency or Limited Competency), etc. This could be a global setting for the entire institution.
2. We need to be able to quantify our grade evaluations, but we would like to maintain a two-grade (pass/fail) system. We would like to be able to assign specific a numeric value and specify what qualifies as a passing grade. So passing could be 70% and above, or some assignments could be more stringent and make it 80% and above. This would be a setting available on each individual assignment.

  Jessica Babaker - Pass/Fail assignments already use your Pass/Fail grade scale which can already be customized (reach out to support if you need help with this). You can also already specify the pass threshold percentage, but it's not per assignment.

  Thanks, Adam! I definitely missed the answer to #1 when I posted this, and I thought that scale was only for the course/transcript grades (not individual assignments). It's so great that it works for both now!

  It would still be useful to be able to assign specific assignments to a different PASS/FAIL threshold. For instance, a rigorous end-of-year assessment/exam might be a 80% to be passing, but the other assignments and course grades are still 70% to be passing.
