Jon Coffee As currently implemented the forms alerts are not useful.
In my opinion, form alerts need to be turned off until improvements are made.
The first reason being that the review function is a relatively new feature that staff have not incorporated into their workflow.
The second point is, that because forms are school-wide I do not want to clear any of the forms which are currently showing an alert. I do not want to unintentionally interrupt another staff member's workflows related to unreviewed forms. As a result I am stuck with a forms alert on my dashboard. The most important reason form alerts need to be turned off until improvements are made is the following. A staff member who is annoyed with the new form alerts on their dashboard, may go into forms that have nothing to do with their workflow and clear alerts meant for another staff members. This would result in forms being missed altogether. The current alerts system is problematic in this way.
Forms should be able to be assigned to individual staff members for review.
Form review alerts should not appear for anyone but the assigned staff member.
Because the forms feature has been around for several months without this review alert feature, we are stuck with HUNDREDS (611 to be exact) of individual alerts to review piecemeal to remove the alerts on our dashboard.
Please turn off the alerts function on forms until improvements are made to the feature. It is causing problems for our workflow.
It is a great feature in theory, but the implementation needs some improvement.
Thank you the to the Populi team for all your hard work. Rolling out a new function like forms has been a lot of work behind the scenes for your developers. It is recognized and much appreciated!
