I love the Populi import functionality, but it would be a lot stronger if you could also do the following:
- Import student fields, not just person and admissions custom fields
- Import a degree. It seems to be able to match this up, but then the degree isn't there after importing
- Import a user's organization (I get this is more complicated b/c you'd have to define the relationship to the organization, but you could make the import on the Organizations page, select what role to assign them - i.e. staff, member prior to import, and then allow the import). Our use case for this is that we have externship organizations for which we'd like to be able to set up their staff as employees of that organization and also set up students as externs at that organization.
