Ability to sort items in edit mode on Edit Groups and Assignments

The sort functions on the assignments page are extremely helpful. However, when switching to edit mode, the assignments are sorted by date (default) and cannot be sorted any other way. When cloning courses and updating information, it is often helpful to work by assignment groups to make all changes of the same type (e.g., adjusting assignment due times or changing the sequential numbering of a group of quizzes) at once. If would be great if the sort functions applied in edit mode just as they do in view mode.
