We already have the option of setting the max number of characters for a short answer / paragraph response, which is great. We would also like the option to set a required minimum number of characters for these field types.
I also support this earlier request for similar functionality on applications, and I wasn't sure whether this additional use case warranted the separate request, but there you have it.

We have a form that is used by our faculty to evaluate student learning outcomes during capstone oral comprehensive exams. For each learning objective, the faculty evaluator is expected to discuss strengths and weaknesses for each student's response. We would like to be able to "force" the evaluator to provide at least X amount of feedback - even though the field is already required, they still have the ability to simply enter "N/A" or whatever if they don't feel like thinking about it. Having a minimum character count would at least give them a nudge to provide a thorough response.
