We are requesting the ability to create an automation that sends a notification when a student has dropped and/or withdrawn from ALL of their courses in a given term. (We submitted a ticket requesting this, but apparently the functionality does not currently exist.)
We already have notifications for each time a student drops /withdraws from a course, but our retention team is particularly interested in students who enroll in one or more courses and then drop / withdraw from 100% of those courses.
In other words, if a student's Term Units Attempted changes from ">0" to "0" in any term, OR, if a student's grade for every course in a term is changed to "W", the automation would send the following email:
TO: [Retention Director]
SUBJECT: [StudentFirstName] [StudentLastName] Has Completely Withdrawn from [AcademicTerm]
BODY: [StudentFirstName] [StudentLastName] has dropped and/or withdrawn from all of their courses for [AcademicTerm]. Please review the student's Activity Feed and transcript to determine whether they plan to register, or have already registered, for other courses in this term and/or a future term. Then, contact the student and/or their advisor as needed to address any issues.
