I would like students to be able to see which courses are being offered for an upcoming semester before the date on which registration begins. I also would like them to be able to see the catalog of courses.

Adam Sentz Ruth Alcabes - In case it helps, you can enable a Public Term Schedule in Academics > Settings. There are a couple more settings for managing what terms are included and getting the embed code, and setting custom CSS if desired. If you have any specific questions about using this reach out to support and they'll give you a hand.
