Currently, students are forced to go through lessons before they see assignments. The assignments do not show up on the assignments tab, calendar, or schedule (on the dashboard) without going through the lesson. The students have been left with the false impression that they do not have any assignments due.

Adam Sentz ADMIN MSG-CNX - Students are only required to access assignments through lessons if you set up the lessons to restrict their access to those assignments until they reach the required place in a lesson. If you'd like assistance setting up your lessons and assignments please reach out to Populi Support via a support request.

ADMIN MSG-CNX No restrictions have been placed on these assignments. Nothing in the lessons, including the assignments, are marked as required. This is the response I got from Populi Support: "Assignments which have been added to a lesson will need to be accessed from the lesson page. If you want the assignment to be available from outside the lesson then you will need to remove the assignment from the lesson."

Adam Sentz ADMIN MSG-CNX - When you add an assignment to a lesson you can choose for it to be available based on its availability in the lesson and its availability dates, or just its availability dates. It looks like your assignments are set to the former option so a student must be able to access them in the lesson before they will be available. Assignments also have an option to have them be visible before they are available or not. Your assignments are set to not be visible before they are available. Depending how you want it to work you may want to change assignment availability in lessons to just use the assignment availability dates and/or set lessons to be visible before they are available.
