Please allow us to add code formatting and code blocks to our questions. Often code editors elsewhere on the internet allow you to use backticks (`) surrounding code to designate it as such and to display that code.
Here's why. I teach a web design course. Several of my questions on a test include HTML elements, such as <p> and <div> and so on. However, I noticed recently that Populi turned those characters into actual html and therefore the characters did not display. This was very confusing for my students as I didn't catch it until the test was being taken. I was able to create a workaround by editing the HTML of the questions themselves, however that is not very intuitive.
