We would like to use the online bookstore and the Point of Sale to process payments for more than physical items that either need to be shipped or picked up at the bookstore. Examples include the Application Fee, Library Fee, etc.
For this, we need a feature that allows fees to be processed without notifying the purchaser that their item is ready for pickup or requiring them to enter their shipping address. It seems like adding features to support payments of fees would be a wonderful thing.

Not sure if this is along the same line, but having the ability to add a percentage surcharge to all online payments based on the total amount due, would be great. For example, if the student chooses to pay for $100 and there is a 2.5% processing fee built in, the bookstore would automatically calculate that charge and add it to the total, making it $102.50.
@MIke - We've had some requests for that so it's certainly on our radar.
In the Point of Sale, is it possible to sell items or charge fees that are not visible to the public? When using the point of sale to receive payment it seems like you have to be charging for a specific inventory item, which also would be visible by anyone browsing the bookstore.
@Joel - That is not currently possible.
How hard would it be to change it so we could go ahead "sell" an item that is not visible, instead of that being blocked (see attached image).
