I teach some courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level. These courses are not identical but are very similar. If I could clone all the undergraduate course information over to the graduate course (or vice versa), I could then just make a few slight adjustments to the cloned course. But I can't seem to do this because they have different course numbers. When in the undergraduate course, if I click "clone" the graduate course numbers are not available.

Traci Morris We have several courses this semester that are cross listed. It would be nice if we could clone these courses. They have completely different course numbers.
-
Robin Lewis We have several courses that repeat each semester, the clone only clones course information, It would be great to clone all the information such as the book, links, supplies, forms.
-
Adam Sentz @Robin - You can already clone books, links, supplies, and more. I'm attaching a screenshot of the dialog where you can choose what you want to clone.

Patti Ashby We would like to see gradebook, discussion, etc. cloned from courses which are cross-listed. The students are all in the same class, but may be taking the course under different departmental listings (i.e. C.S. Lewis course taught as ENGL 4413 or PHIL 4413). Same assignments, same tests, same discussion threads, but 2 totally different course department identification.

Brendan O'Donnell We would like to add cross-listing to courses at some point; Cross-listing would--combined with what we already have built in with courses--effectively handle this request.
-
Deborah Forteza I would love to see this implemented! Our professors get frustrated when I tell them that I can't clone a course for them, and it would really save them a lot of time.
-
Traci Morris I have already posted on this, but I am ask by our faculty about this all the time. It would be so nice to have it. I am teaching a course this semester that is cross listed, and I have to put everything in twice for the two different course listings.

Isaac Grauke One thing you can share between two completely separate courses is test questions. So if you teach two completely separate courses but you want to be able to pull from the same pool of questions, you can. You can choose which courses can share questions on the Course Catalog.
-
Christal Fehr That last bit about sharing questions is helpful... thanks Isaac. Though, I too, would love to be able to clone the whole thing.
-
Jonathon Beeke I have also posted a request very similar to this....it would save us a lot of time if we could clone between courses. Any progress on this?

Mike Krauss Agreed. We have courses that continue from one semester to the next, but they have different numbers. Many details of the courses are very similar. -
Janice Banks I have a couple of courses that are cross listed. It would be nice if these courses could share discussions. could this be done with a simple course clone? I need the students to enter into discussions together...not in two separate groups.

Edward Estes Cross-course cloning would be an incredibly helpful feature!! (Especially when we offer ThM courses and MDiv courses. They are not identical, but they are similar.)
-
Adam Sentz You can now clone from a course instance that isn't the same catalog course as the one you are cloning to.
-
George Gunn Hooray!!!
-
Jonathon Beeke Yeah!!!! This is awesome!

Sam Dean Just had a professor try to clone from a course she taught last semester and has a different course code. We cannot find how to clone from this course to her new course.
How does a professor clone from a different course they teach?
-
Andrew Murdock I cannot seem to clone from other catalog numbers . I would like to be able to access any catalog course I teach in the cloning dialog.
-
Adam Sentz @Andrew - Right now you have to be an Academic Admin or Registrar in order to clone from a different catalog course. I can see why you might want to be able to clone from a different course that you already teach. Would you mind creating a new feature request for that since this one is already marked completed?
