We use a third-party alumni database. It would be great if we could designate a notification e-mail so that we received notification if a Populi user updated their contact information, so we could update our third-party database too.
Or, another way to approach this would be the ability to run a report that listed when contact information was last changed. Then we could isolate any addresses that had been changed recently.

What does the third-party system do that Populi doesn't currently handle?
The third-party system is Raisers' Edge. It's pretty much a full-featured donor management system. For example, donor history, giving campaigns, flexibility for address types, date ranges, etc. We use it to track our alumni and link to our various scholarship funds and giving campaigns.
I agree. We use a separate library ILS that does not integrate with Populi. It would be great if I could just get a ping every time a students changes their contact information so we can update in our system.

We also have a third-party donor management system, and a notification like this would help us keep our lists up-to-date. Potential miscommunications due to old address changes can come off as disorganized and can negatively impact relationships with our donors.
At the moment we do frequent cross-checks to prevent things like that from happening, but it is certainly time-consuming and inefficient!
